About Me

In March 2009 I started dating my now husband.  We were engaged 7 months later in October 2009.  My amazing husband and I were married March 20, 2010.  In July 2010 we found out that we were expecting our first child…it was a HUGE surprise.  On March 22, 2011, just 2 days after we celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary our sweet baby girl Abigail was born.  We are so blessed to have her in our life and she is stretching us and growing us more every day.  Along with that she is stealing more and more pieces of our hearts.

Our little family lived together in San Luis Obispo CA for the first year of our marriage and the first three months of baby Abigail’s life, then due to a job offer of my husband’s for a company in Seattle WA we relocated.  Seattle is a lot different then what I am used to, but it is a very lovely place.  I am excited to get to know the area and experience all it has to offer while I am here.  I miss my family and friends back in California very dearly, but I know that I am apart from them only for a time.

I am a child of God.  Jesus Christ is my savior and He is the greatest treasure!  Daily I am being molded into his image…it is a refining process that takes time and it can be quite hard at times.  I am a wife, a mother of one err…two, if you count the dog.  My awesome black lab…Jake.  I love being with my husband, sweet baby girl and our dog, I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family, going for walks to explore my new town, shopping, crafting, taking photos, making things and coming up with new ideas.  I hope to share some of my ideas, inspirations and experiences with you.

A little about the name of my blog:  I chose to name my blog A Pinch of Color {Through Clouds of Grey} because sometimes with our move it can be very difficult to keep a positive attitude about all the change and the separation from the things I want (to be with the friends I have had for a while and am comfortable with, and to be in the place I hoped to live the rest of my life, even though I know I will be back!).  The things I am going to write about are the things that give me joy, and bring color to my life when the skies of Seattle…and sometimes my attitude/outlook on life are grey.
